The Department of Defense (DoD) MWR Digital Library provides online resources for service members, families, retirees and civilians for recreation and professional development.

Fleet and Family Support Centers

The Fleet and Family Support Centers (FFSCs) offer non-academic skills classes and workshops to help Sailors and family members explore new ways to cope with the military lifestyle, including obtaining the skills to find employment in new locations.

Chances are better than ever for Navy spouses to obtain meaningful employment when they transfer with their Sailor to a new duty station. The Military Spouse Preference Program ensures military spouses are given preference when applying for DoD civilian jobs.

NMFA offers Military Spouse Scholarships to help pay for degrees (from a GED to PhD), professional licenses and certifications (including re-licensure), business and entrepreneurial expenses, supervised clinical hours, continuing education courses, and more.

If the DoD approves the Transfer of Entitlement (TOE), a military spouse or dependent children can apply for up to 36 months of benefits, and may be able to get money for tuition, books, and supplies.

The DoD provide installation School Liaisons for K-12 military students in every region to assist families with their educational needs.
